Assistant Management Accountant

Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be recruiting for a rapidly growing and hugely successful fashion retailer, based in north Birmingham. Due to the immense growth post covid, this role has been created as a new position to directly assist the Financial Director with the end of month and quarterly Management Accounts pack. This role will allow the successful candidate to grow with the business and continue to take on responsibility as they progress in their studies.

Day to day, you will find yourself at the centre of the accounts function alongside the FD. Whilst liaising with transnational departments, warehouses and stores you will be completing an assortment of reconciliations, accruals and prepayments, balance sheet expenditure and more. You will be a pivotal, key liaison with the figures you produce.

Skills required

• You will ideally have previous experience in a role where you had exposure to journals, and completing reconciliations (bank, supplier statement or credit card).
• Knowledge of Excel (Pivot tables and Lookups) is needed. Experience with Pegasus Opera is desirable but not essential.
• Be an enthusiastic candidate, and have a desire to grow in the role, implementing your own improvements.
• Ideally, you will be studying towards your AAT level 4, or CIMA/ACCA.
